A benefit for the Trans Asylum Seeker Support Network
The Student Union Web Gallery presents FUTURE SHOW, a series of downloadable artworks that you can purchase and print-- our way of extending out of the Internet and into your physical reality. FUTURE SHOW exhibits works inspired by the future we seek to co-create, upholding the visions of mutual aid networks, Black Lives Matter, community care and healing. We will accept rolling submissions until February 1st. Email suagdirector@sacl.umass.edu for inquiries.
HOW IT WORKS: Click the icons to view the artwork. If you are interested in purchasing a piece, Venmo a suggested donation of $5-20 (or as much as you'd like to donate!) to @transasylumsupport with a note that reads FUTURE SHOW, or give to their donation page, https://givebutter.com/TASSNxSupport . The Student Union Web Gallery would like to introduce the Trans Asylum Seeker Support Network!
TASSN is a border-abolitionist mutual aid network supporting Trans and Genderqueer asylum seekers. They focus on supporting transgender asylum seekers in crossing the border, getting out of detention, securing housing, legal support, healthcare, transportation, and comprehensive daily financial and material support, building thriving lives and communities, and winning their asylum cases. Through community education and organizing, they also work to address the roots of asylum seeker criminalization.
